Abstract


This study discusses the expressive speech acts of Arabic in the animated film Muhsin and Mahasin. The problems studied are the forms, functions and factors that influence the expressive speech acts in the animated film Muhsin and Mahasin. The aim is to find out what forms, functions and factors affect expressive speech in the film, so that it can be easier to understand how to express when speaking in Arabic. This research is a descriptive qualitative research with data collection using the method consider and analyze data using the method of distribution. The findings of this study indicate the expressiveness of the language of the characters who play a role in the animated film. The influencing factors are speech participants, speech situation and speech norms. The expressive function conveyed by the dominant teacher is praise, thank you, congratulations.
