ANALISIS KARAKTERISTIK GAYA BELAJAR REMAJA DI KORONG SIJANGEK KENAGARIAN SUNGAI DURIAN KECAMATAN PATAMUAN KABUPATEN PADANG PARIAMAN

Abstract

This research intended to obtain, analyze, and describe the data of student’s learning styles in Korong Sijangek Kenagarian Sungai Durian, Patamuan Sub-District, Padang Pariaman District. The type of research was descriptive. The population were all of the student’s learning styles in Korong Sijangek Kenagarian Sungai Durian, Patamuan Sub-District. The samples were 72 students by using simple random sampling technique. The instrument was questionnaires used ordinal scale. Analysis of the data used  descriptive analysis of frequency distribution and crosstab. The results showed that the characteristics of student’s learning styles are; visual learning styles (VAK, VKA), audio learning styles (AVK, AKV) and kinesthetic learning styles (KAV, KVA). The dominant learning style is visual learning style with variants of VAK (Visual, Auditive and Kinesthetic). The appropriate learning model used with the characteristics of student’s learning styles is to apply various learning media for mind mapping, video scribe, etc. that emphasize visual senses as well as audio and kinesthetic (tactual)
