Last month, Monika revealed she was expecting her first child with her artist husband in a post shared to Instagram. 

'Just the three of us,' she wrote.
'We couldn't keep our little peanut a secret any longer! We're so grateful and excited for our little love growing inside. I'M GOING TO BE A MAMA!!!'

The beauty pageant winner and Alesandro tied the knot in March 2018 after a four-year engagement.  

Monika previously told that she knew early on Alesandro was 'The One'.

'It's like my heart knew he was The One before my head did.

Cheesy I know, but it's completely true,' she said.

The baby news came as a surprise to some of Monika's Instagram followers, as she and Alesandro had previously said they didn't want to have children.

'We're focusing on our careers and just enjoying being together, but I would love a dog though, that would be the dream,' she said in 2018.

'Since being married nothing's changed in that sort of sense, it's just this beautiful connection between us that we have.'
