Semantic Structure Of Japanese Action Verbs In Novel Yoshiwara Gomenjoo

Abstract

The purposes of this study are (1) to describe the original meaning of action verb in japanese and (2) to analyze the semantic structure of Japanese verbs. The research data is in the form of written from the novel Yoshiwara Gomenjoo with the reading method. The technique used is tapping and note-taking techniques. The data is analyzed by using the distributional method with “teknik ubah wujud, teknik sisip, and paraphrase methodâ€. The result showed that the semantic primes of the Japanese verb in Yoshiwara Gomenjoo novel were included in the mental components: mental predicate, speech, and action. Semantic structure leads to an agentif movement verbs that has a polycemic MOVE / WANT, a verb verb that has a polysemy SAY/ THINK and SAY/ SAY, moving verbs that have polysemi DO / ACT, DO / FEEL, and DO/ HAPPEN.
