Identifikasi Gaya Hidup Pra-Lansia Etnis Tionghoa dalam Menjaga Kesehatan dan Kebugaran

Abstract


Growing old is a natural physiological process characterized by a decrease in physical and psychological abilities. WHO divides elderly phase  into four categories that is middle age or pre-elderly (40-59 years), elderly (60-74 years), old (75-90) and very old (over 90 years). Prepare themselves entering elderly with quality physical to support daily activities starting in the pre-elderly phase. This phase plays an important role because it is a preparation phase that contributes to changes in quality of life. The purpose of this study was to determine the lifestyle of ethnic Chinese people who are entering the elderly phase in living their daily lives. This research method is a case study with collection techniques conducted through literacy studies, observations, interviews and questionnaires. Data analysis uses descriptive qualitative techniques. Based on the results of the data obtained information that fitness and lifestyle of Chinese elderly ethnic Chinese have a good level in terms of body composition, physical activity, sufficiency and nutrition quality. The conclusion of this study is important to maintain body composition, especially fat distribution, doing physical activity and exercise, rest and diet quality to maintain health and fitness in pre-elderly age.


Menjadi tua merupakan proses fisiologis alami yang ditandai dengan  penurunan kemampuan fisik dan psikologis. WHO membagi usia lansia menjadi empat kategori tua yaitu usia pertengahan atau pra-lansia (40-59 tahun), lansia (60-74 tahun), tua (75-90) dan sangat tua (diatas 90 tahun). Mempersiapkan diri  memasuki usia tua dengan kondisi fisik yang berkualitas untuk mendukung aktivitas sehari-hari dimulai pada fase pra-lansia. Fase ini memegang peran penting karena merupakan fase persiapan yang memberikan kontribusi terhadap perubahan kualitas hidup. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gaya hidup masyarakat etnis tionghoa yang memasuki fase lansia dalam menjalani ksehidupan sehari-hari. Metode penelitian ini adalah studi kasus dengan teknik pengumpulan yang dilakukan melalui kajian literasi, observasi, wawancara dan kuisoner. Analisa data menggunakan teknik deskriptif kualitatif. Berdasarkan hasil data diperoleh informasi bahwa  kebugaran dan gaya hidup pra-lansia etnis tionghoa memiliki kategori  yang baik ditinjau dari komposisi tubuh, aktivitas fisik, kecukupan dan kualitas nutrisi. Hasil penelitian disimpulkan penting untuk menjaga komposisi tubuh terutama distribusi lemak, melakukan aktivitas fisik/ olahraga secara rutin dan teratur, istirahat yang  cukup dan pola makan yang berkualitas agar mendapatkan kebugaran dan kesehatan diusia pra-lansia.
