Hubungan Health Literacy dengan Perilaku Mencari Bantuan Kesehatan pada Lansia dengan Prehipertensi

Abstract


Globally the elderly population is predicted to continue to increase, the increasing number of elderly reflects the increase in health services, as well as being a new problem for Indonesia itself. One of the most common problems found in the elderly is hypertension. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of health literacy and the behavior of seeking health assistance in the elderly with prehypertension. This research is a type of non-experimental research, with a quantitative approach. The research design used was descriptive correlational analytic cross sectional approach. The sampling technique in this study was using pusrvosipe sampling, the number of samples in this study was 63 respondents. The instrument used was a questionnaire sheet. Data were processed using SPSS 18.0 using Chi-square statistical tests significance level p value <0.05. Based on the results of the analysis of the relationship between health literacy with behavior seeking health assistance obtained p = 0.001 means that there is a relationship between health literacy and health seeking behavior. The conclusion in this study is that there is a relationship between health literacy with the behavior of seeking health assistance in the elderly with pre-retention in the Bone District Puskesmas Work Area. It is hoped that there will be efforts to improve health literacy in the elderly, thereby increasing the behavior of the elderly in seeking health assistance.

 

Secara  global populasi lansia diprediksi terus mengalami peningkatan, semakin meningkatnya jumlah lansia mencerminkan adanya peningkatan pelayanan kesehatan, sekaligus dapat menjadi problematika baru bagi Indonesia sendiri. Salah satu masalah yang paling sering ditemukan pada lansia adalah penyakit hipertensi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan health literacy dan perilaku mencari bantuan kesehatan pada lansia dengan prehipertensi. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian non eksperimental, dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif analitik korelasional dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Tehnik pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini dengan menggunakan pusrvosipe sampling, jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 63 responden. Instrument yang digunakan adalah lembar kuesioner. Data diolah dengan menggunakan SPSS 18.0 menggunakan uji statistik Chi-square tingkat kemaknaan p value < 0.05. Berdasarkan  hasil analisis hubungan antara health literacy dengan perilaku mencari bantuan kesehatan diperoleh nilai p=0.001 berarti ada hubungan antara health literacy dengan perilaku mencari bantuan kesehatan. Kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini adalah ada hubungan antara health literacy dengan perilaku mencari bantuan kesehatan pada lansia dengan prehipretensi di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Kabupaten Bone. Diharapkan ada upaya untuk meningkatkan health literacy pada lansia sehingga meningkatkan perilaku lansia dalam mencari bantuan kesehatan.
