Pelaksanaan pembelajaran klinik terkait erat dengan peran pengajar pada lingkungan klinik yang bertujuan untuk mendorong kemandirian dan kepercayaan diri mahasiswa. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat gambaran persepsi mahasiswa program profesi ners terhadap perilaku caring clinical instruktur (pembimbing klinik) di rumah sakit pendidikan kota padang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif deskriptif. Penelitian inidilakukan di RSUP dr. M.Jamil Padang dan RS Jiwa H.B Saanim Padang. Penelitian ini dilakukan  selama 2 bulan yaitu bulan April- Mei 2016. Jumlah sampel yang dipergunakan  dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan tabel power analysis dengan nilai power 0,80 dan effect size 0,20 didapat jumlah sample 194. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 63 responden (32,5%) menyatakan CI berperilaku caring, sementara 131 reponden (67,5%) menyatakan CI kurang berperilaku caring.Diharapkan pembimbing klinik mampu menerapkan perilaku caring dalam pembelajaran klinik sehingga kompetensi yang diharapkan dapat tercapai.

The Implementation of clinical learning is clocely related with the role of teachers in the clinical environment which aims to encaurage self reliance and the student self confidence. The Purpose of this research are to face the picture of student perception by the nurses profession program caring behavior clinical instructur in the hospital in Padang city. This research was conducted in Dr M. Djamil Padang hospital and H.B Sa’anin mental Padang of Padang. This research was conducted over two month , April – May 2016. The number of used research is done by using power analysis table with power values of 0,80 and 0,20 effect size obtained sample number 194. The result showed tahta 63respondent (32,5%) stated the CI behave caring  while 131 respondent (67,5%) stated the CI less behave caring. The clinical instructor expected to able apply the caring behavior in clinical learning competencies which expected to be achieve.
