Pete has been thrown into the spotlight over the past few years, following a series of high profile relationships.

After his split from Larry David's daughter, Cazzie, he fell in love with pop-star, Ariana Grande, and popped the question just days later in June 2018.

Unfortunately by October 2018 the engagement was off and the pair had gone their separate ways.

The following year in January 2019, he started dating Kate Beckinsale, 46. The pair lasted four months before he moved on to Andie MacDowell's daughter, actress Margaret Qualley, in August.

The next month he was seen leaving Kaia Gerber's apartment in New York City. The pair dated until January  2020.

Pete and Kaia reportedly ended their romance on the count of his mental health.

'It became very clear that he had to go and do this and couldn't wait any longer,' a source told E! at the time.

'This is his second time seeking treatment, his first being in 2016.'

Pete opened up in a very candid interview back in February about his mental health, saying he is 'constantly depressed.'

'I'm always depressed, all the time. I have to constantly bring myself out of it,' he said in a YouTube interview with Charlamagne Tha God.

'I wake depressed, but now I know my steps. I have to go outside and be in sun for a little bit, or go for a walk. It's all just programming yourself to trick your brain.'

The Suicide Squad star also revealed that he has contemplated suicide, but has stopped himself because he has 'a mom and a sister and a family.'

'I've always been suicidal, but I've never had the balls, you know. Which I'm very lucky,' he continued.

'For the first time, when I went away this time, I felt like I had maybe, almost, the balls. Because when you're not feeling good and you're going through all this stuff and there's people at your house in Staten Island, it just really drives you f**king crazy.'
